Spatial Big Data company, 1Spatial, has made two new appointments to its local team of feature manipulation engine (FME) analysts.
Adrian Porter was appointed to the position of senior consultant and Priyantha Pallegama has been made a consultant at the firm.
Adrian has 15 years' international experience delivering consultancy services for geographic information systems (GIS) and has relocated from 1Spatial's Cambridge, UK headquarters to Sydney. He will be responsible for providing technical expertise throughout FME solution implementation, from presales consulting through to delivery and ongoing support.
1Spatial Asia Pacific general manager, Martin Gregory, said Porter would enhance the local team with his international experience.
Priyantha was previously a GIS project team member at the Canberra Institute of Technology. He was also a Research Assistant at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, where he holds a master of science (M.Sc.) in geographic information systems and remote sensing.
1Spatial provides the software solutions and services that manage spatial big data. Clients include national mapping agencies; land registries; utility and telecommunications companies; and government departments including emergency services, defence and census bureaus.
