1. Key channel plays for 2015
We have always been a channel lead business and will continue to be so. Our point of focus for 2015 is how do we make HP better to do business with and for the channel. How can we speed things up to make HP their best partner. The channel has choice and we want to be their first choice.
2. Key technology for 2015
In this next year we are really going to see that pace of people migrating from their Windows XP platforms, which we saw in 2014 but more and more so that has been held back by app development and shifting apps into the Windows 8 touch environment.
I think 2-in-1 will be a key drive in 2015. We started to see through 2014 there were more and more platforms from us and other vendors will be releasing in 2015 and I think that will really start to spike.
3. Key message to the channel for 2015
Key message from HP is lets make sure we are communicating, we are doing the things that you want us to do. That’s really what we want for our channel partners, a two way dialogue about how do we perform better together when we are talking to end users or when we are trying to win more business. We are making those changes that does make HP the easiest player to deal with.
4. Key warning to the channel for 2015
2015 will be just as competitive as 2014. The warning here is let’s not let this mass change in platform catch them without being educated about why do people go down those device paths. Why we are developing those kind of platforms, really so they can educate end users with us.
5. Key to HP’s success in 2015
Deploying the new technologies we have launched and making sure we evangelise and educate the channel as well as our end users on how we develop these, and also the next iteration of HP products.
