Systems integrator, ASG, has partnered AWS to deliver a NSW government contract worth $10 million.
The contract win follows AWS awarding ASG multiple accreditations, including the AWS advanced Consulting Parnter and AWS Government Partner Program status.
According to a company statement, the recently awarded Department of Trade, Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services contract builds on existing NSW Government clients, such as Biosecurity NSW and the Department of Transport.
These organisation use AWS as part of a cost effective, scalable solution that is tailored to derive business outcomes.
The contact will see ASG deliver the first major deployment of Unitrends' Boomerang (an Australian developed technology that automate the bringing of workloads across VMware and AWS.
ASG chief executive, Geoff Lewis, said the partnership with AWS and Unitrends/Boomerang helped to further expand the company's foothold in transitioning government departments to new world solutions.
"Increasingly AWS and the public sector are now turning to ASG instead of the larger multi-national organisations, with the intransigent business, to leverage our expertise in implementing and managing innovate Cloud solutions."
The contract win coincides with ASG signing a new three-year contract with Future Fund Management Agency for the provision of ICT services.
It continues the relationship between ASG and Future Fund which started in 2007.
