Outsourcer, Infosys, has elevated its financial services division boss, Andrew Groth, to the leadership of its Australian and New Zealand operations.
Groth has been named regional head for Australia and New Zealand and will replace Jackie Korhonen, who resigned in December last year to take a chief executive role at SMS Management and Technology.
Korhonen held the role for more than six years.
Groth will be responsible for leading strategy and growth for the $8.3 billion company in the AU/NZ market – its third largest market globally.
He joined Infosys in 2010 to head up the company’s Financial Services business in Australia and New Zealand, where he significantly grew relationships with the region’s major financial institutions, according to a company statement.
"Over the years he has taken on additional roles within Infosys, including Head of Financial Services – Asia Pacific, and most recently as Head of Enterprise and Industry Services," the statement said.
Prior to Infosys, he was a senior vice-president at Genpact, based in London, where he led the growth of the business and its customer relationships across the EMEA region.
