eWay has partnered with eBay-owned Magento to enhance online retail payments.
eWAY created a new payment extension that improves integration and security featuring fraud protection through its Beagle prevention system. Processing refunds and chargebacks has also become more streamlined. The new eWay extension is available on Magento Connect.
Magento head of partner marketing, Jeff Herrera, said fraud prevention and the continued development of risk management tools were critically important to merchants.
During a two week beta trial, merchants were pleased with being able to give customers more options for online payments.
“Everything we do at eWAY is focused on making the experience for merchants and their customers frictionless, and that’s what this module does,” eWay CEO, Matt Bullock, said.
“We work with the largest network of eCommerce partners in Australia, and working with Magento has been particularly rewarding. We’re really pleased to be able to help them improve their products for their customers.”
Magento serves more than 240,000 merchants globally and is supported by solution providers and third-party developers.
