Collaboration vendor, Acano, has recruited four new Australian-based partners as it looks to build its presence.
The new recruits include Insync Technology, Coevolve, InViewUC and Pro AV Solutions. Dimension Data is also an existing Acano partner.
The five partners were selected based on their sales and technical expertise, customer service and professional services.
Acano was first launched into the market about a year ago and its voice, video and web collaboration platform brings together Microsoft Lync with existing video vendors such as Cisco, Polycom and Lifesize. It also has the ability to start a voice or video call in a web browser and supports iOS and Android platforms.
Earlier this year, Acano hired Michael Chetner as its A/NZ general manager. The vendor also inked a distribution agreement with Transition Systems and hired technical staff.
“We’ve carefully selected each foundation partner for their high-growth culture and innovative approach,” Chetner said. “Acano’s go-to market strategy for 2015 is to work closely with them to drive successful customer relationships throughout the region and expand our select network as the momentum grows.”
Chetner said the vendor experienced a lot of success in Europe and US and he was looking to replicate that within the Australian market. He highlighted each of the partners focus on target markets including network optimisation, WAN acceleration, Microsoft Lync integration and AV/IT sectors. In the long term, it will also focus its attention on telcos and large service providers supplying unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS).
“Each of these appointments represent a segment of the market and provide maximum coverage,” he said. “Partners can also work together on a number of customer opportunities and complement each other’s skills sets.
“In the long term we don’t want dilute those four market segments, we want to make sure there’s enough opportunity to preserve the margin for partners.”
