Hosted Networks launched its desktop data recovery (DR) service to augment desktop as a service.
The Sydney-based company said it identified a gap in premium Cloud-hosting services by acknowledging that its partner’s end-users are often neglected from traditional disaster recovery schemes.
The vendor said it closed this margin with a desktop DR solution that promises end-users the ability to quickly resume productivity from any device, anywhere should a disaster impact the workforce.
Hosted Network managing director, Ben Town, said no business was exempt from disaster, no matter what form it takes and that this can represent a major cost to business.
“With Desktop DR, businesses are able to add desktop reservation capacity for their tiered workforce with a mix and match of recovery SLAs of 6, 24, and 48 for as little as $5 per month, per desktop and with minimal exertion.”
Hosted networks said the solution was a vital and easy extension into existing partner server offerings.
Solisita managing director, Noel Allnutt, a Hosted Network partner, said the new service would be attractive to clients.
“Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity have traditionally been too hard, too complex and too expensive for customers to have a complete and reliable plan. Solista chose hosted network’s Desktop DR solutions as it eliminates the challenges and complexity of traditional methods.”
