South Australian wholesale distributor BMS Technology has rounded out its product portfolio with Targus' complete range of mobile computing accessories, announcing its appointment as the vendor's regional distributor for South Australia.
According to general manager Anthony Szabo, BMS had previously sourced Targus accessories on behalf of its customers so it was a natural progression for the distributor to add the Targus range to its product line-up.
BMS will bundle Targus accessories, such as carry cases, handheld car adapters, biometric scanners and USB hubs, with Toshiba notebooks, Szabo said.
"It will be a lot easier for South Australian resellers to get Targus stock from a local distributor than from a national distie. Our local presence means resellers can physically inspect the products before buying them," Szabo said.
BMS will also provide resellers with additional services, including regular product promotions, information days and training seminars.
Targus Australia channel sales manager Tony Hospes said the vendor decided to appoint BMS after it recognised a growing need to strengthen the services it provided regional markets. "BMS Technology fitted the mould perfectly for the South Australian market," he said.
