Ullrich Loeffler has been appointed managing director A/NZ at International Data Corporation (IDC).
The post takes effect as of December 1.
Loeffler previously spent six years managing the IDC business in New Zealand. During that time he was responsible for the overall business management and the ongoing development of research and consulting engagements, strategic analysis and IDC's CIO research program.
Most recently, Loeffler was research director at IDC Australia. With more than eight years working across research and management at IDC, Ullrich's new role will focus on continuing the transition of IDC's A/NZ business into the 3rd Platform era.
"I couldn't imagine a more exciting time to work in ICT as we witness an unprecedented speed of disruption, market change and opportunities presented," he said. "Participating in this change from an independent market perspective and being able to support our clients in their strategic directions while they make some of their toughest decisions, is a privilege that requires our 120 per cent commitment.
IDC Australia has also appointed a new research director for Telecommunications Australia, Hugh Ujhazy.
He is responsible for supporting all aspects of the telecommunications business in Australia and assisting local and regional clients in their strategic planning and operational execution in the rapidly changing market place.
Prior to IDC, Hugh worked as principle analyst at Current Analysis based in Asia-Pacific. He has also held senior leadership positions with Oracle, HDS and Ericsson across US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
