ProCurve Networking by HP Gains Market Share in Australian LAN Market

<p>Networking leader celebrates one year as the number two player in the country</p>
<p>AUSTRALIA, Melbourne, December 7, 2004 – ProCurve Networking by HP has gained two percentage points of market share and successfully grown its lead as the number two position in the Australian LAN Switch Market in terms of port shipments for July 2003 to June 2004 (Q3 2003 to Q2 2004).</p>
<p>The results, just released by leading IT market research and advisory firm IDC in the IDC Australia Local Area Network Hardware Tracker, confirm ProCurve’s tremendous 12 month result.</p>
<p>"ProCurve Networking by HP maintained its no. 2 position in the Australian switching market as of Q2 2004, securing 9.3% market share in the quarter. The government and education sectors remained the key contributors to ProCurve's total switching revenue," said Rachel Lo, Research Manager, IDC Asia Pacific.</p>
