Kodak stuffs the Christmas stockings

Kodak has slashed the price of its two-megapixel EasyShare CX4230 Digital Camera by 17 per cent. The price of its 3.1MP EasyShare DX4330 Digital Camera has also dropped, just in time for Christmas.

Both cameras were released in August this year. The price of the CX4230 has dropped from $599 to $499, while the EasyShare DX4330 has come down from $799 to $699.

"The reductions aim to ensure that Kodak stays ahead of its competitors in the core ‘heartland' of the digital market," said Steve Moorley, general manager of Kodak Digital and Applied Imaging, Australia/NZ.

Prices on digital cameras have been steadily decreasing. According to Kodak, consumers are paying 28 per cent less on average this Christmas for their digital cameras.
