E-health services provider ICSGlobal has landed three-year contracts with eight new hospitals and day surgeries to supply its core business solution, Thelma (Transactional Health Exchange Linking Multiple Applications).
The new customers -- Stirling District Hospital, Abergeldie Private Hospital, South Coast Community Hospital, Camperdown Sleep Investigation Centre, Maroubra Day Surgery, Southern Medical Day Care Centre, Liverpool Day Surgery, and Hornsby Sleep Disorder and Diagnostic Centre -- take the total number of hospitals signed up for the Thelma solution to 68.
A combination of software, hardware and services, Thelma uses the Internet to connect different types of software and technology platforms used by the health industry, enabling the exchange of real-time information and complex business transactions between hospitals, health funds, Medicare, specialists, GPs, diagnostic providers, and medical supply companies.
According to the company, Thelma provides customers with drastic reductions in administrative costs, faster payment cycles, reduced risk for providers being paid, and improved customer services for health funds and hospitals.
Starting out as a boutique engineering and IT consultancy, ICSGlobal now focuses on the e-health sector after using the proceeds from its float on the Australian Stock Exchange to develop Thelma, its core business product.
