Iomega Australia has introduced a Gold Alliance Reseller Program in a bid to support value-added resellers that actively promote and sell Iomega NAS (network-attached storage) products.
The two-tiered initiative offers a variety of financial incentives to resellers for the sale of every Iomega NAS product.
Resellers are also entitled to level-one or level-two support, which includes fast access to Iomega Authorised Reseller technical support, sales support (such as end-user leads and product and sales training), and Web-based support.
Iomega is using the announcement to reaffirm its commitment to the NAS space, following the exit of numerous vendors in Australia and New Zealand.
"The withdrawal of vendors and consolidation of the market has given Iomega the opportunity to gain greater market share in this highly competitive industry," said Scott Dillon, Iomega's senior manager for Australia/NZ. "Our aim is to become the leader in the NAS market."
Earlier this year, the company, renowned for its low-end zip devices, launched its family of NAS products, with capacities ranging from 120GB to 480GB to 720GB. Larger-capacity NAS servers are on the horizon, Iomega said.
"With an entry level price of $3,199, Iomega is perfectly positioned to provide the value proposition of NAS to the SMB market," said Dillon. "We are relying heavily on our dedicated resellers to support the sale of this product range."
