ERP, mobile and analytics software vendor, Pronto Software, has promoted Chad Gates as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), while Gary Semple has stepped up to become its development manager.
Gates was previously the vendor’s general manager in Victoria and has been with the vendor for about 9 years.
In his time with the company, Gates led the charge on restructuring the Development Centre into permanent agile project teams, enhancing the human resources program to provide greater opportunities for staff development, as well as establishing a new Development Group in Sri Lanka. He also played an integral role in launching Pronto’s fully integrated ERP and Business Intelligence solution in 2011, in collaboration with IBM Cognos.
In his new COO position, Gates is responsible for driving an agile business structure that supports future growth, optimising operational efficiency and delivering enhanced customer service.
“We have grown significantly over the past few years, expanding both our product capabilities and branch network to better service our customers. Having worked across all facets of the business, from marketing to product development and branch management, I can appreciate both the customer-facing and operational sides of the business,” Gates said.
Semple has spent 14 years at the vendor and was a key player in the continued developments of Pronto’s flagship product Pronto Xi.
In his new position, Semple will manage the development team who build and maintain Pronto’s suite of applications, across its research and development facilities in Australia and Sri Lanka.
