GFI Software has been separated into LogicNow and GFI as part of a corporate restructure.
LogicNow comprises GFI MAX, IASO Cloud backup and other Cloud-based products, and will focus on software-as-a-service (SaaS) on a subscription model. GFI will focus on private Cloud solutions delivered to IT administrators in end-user organisations.
LogicNow and GFI chief executive officer, Walter Scott, claims the separation will allow LogicNow and GFI to focus on core markets and optimise products strategies in line with those targets.

The management teams of each business and investors that have been behind the company remain unchanged.
With MAX now under the LogicNow umbrella, the service has been renamed from GFI MAX to MAXfocus.
MAXfocus is a platform for managed service providers (MSPs) which contains remote management, mail, service desk, and backup products. It services more than 10,000 customers globally.

This re-organization allows us to continue to develop and deliver on our vision for the industry.”
Forbes claims MAXfocus has grown at more than 50 per cent each year over the past five years, and is onboarding “hundreds” of new MSPs per month.
