Acer has appointed Walter Olson as the company's new Australian channel boss.
Olson will replace former national sales manager Stuart Buxton, who will leave the company after just six month on the job.
Buxton was previously senior marketing strategy manager at Dell, where he held a variety of roles since 2008.
Buxton also previously worked at Acer in 2006 as consumer brand manager.
Olson will take the title of head of channel and distribution at Acer.
Previously, Olson held of the role of national channel sales manager at HP in 2012-13, and most recently was SMB business manager at Astron technology.
The changes come following some tough times for Acer, and the retirement of long time managing director Charles Chung.
In January, Acer Australia managing director, Darren Simmons, told ARN that it had been undergoing restructuring activities, business realignments and changes to the internal teams to adapt to the changing market and promote further growth with a strong focus on the channel.
“The technology future continues to evolve and I eagerly look forward to helping my Acer colleagues, customers and channel partners to grasp the opportunities that change provides and be mutually successful in our dynamic world," he said.
“Our task is not to reinvent an already successful business but to seek and develop opportunities that help grow the productivity and human potential of our customers, channel partners and Acer staff."
