If there is a ARN ICT Industry Award that speaks volumes about the channel community then it's Channel Champion.
One of the fundamentals of the channel has always been that despite ICT being dynamic and fast moving, the industry remains a strong and vibrant community.
Within that community there are companies and individuals who are not just working for the profit of their own organisations or the growth of the market, but also for the greater good.
This category identifies and applauds those who are deemed to be giving the most back to the community and the world at large.
The award goes to an individual working in a channel (vendor, distributor or reseller) organisation who has, outside of their daily working life, been heavily involved in working with charities, NFPS or in personal philanthropy.
Nominations deadline extended
Are you a Channel Champion? If so, there is still time to nominate for the 2014 ARN ICT Industry Channel Champion Award.
Due to overwhelming demand, ARN has extended nominations for the 2014 ARN ICT Industry Awards until midnight, Wednesday, July 2.
This year nominations have been flowing in, virtually since they opened a month ago, and, in particular, from many younger channel companies, start-ups and new players, all eager to take on the older, well established, tech giants in some categories.
However, many businesses are also finding it hard to get their nominations finished by the original deadline because they are busy wrapping up end of financial year reports and associated business. Hence the need to extend the deadline and ensure everybody gets their EOFY work finished and enters the Awards.
ARN would appreciate it if companies could still get their nominations in as early as possible within the remaining days as it helps us in the processing that follows.
You can currently nominate for 25 awards. Voting for the popular Channel Choice Awards will open later in the year.
Now in its eighth year, the awards recognise and celebrate industry excellence over the past year. To be hosted at a Celebration Dinner on Wednesday, September 3, at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, the 2014 awards theme is Celebrating Bravehearts – channel courage and triumph in the ICT industry.
