FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sydney, October, 28th 2003

Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), and SecureData Group have announced that Australian online media company, realestate.com.au Ltd (ASX: REA), has deployed a NetApp storage system to consolidate its rapidly growing data storage and protection needs, manage business growth, and support a drive to significantly enhance customer service levels.

realestate.com.au is an Australian company that provides online services to the real estate industry and publishes Australia's most popular real estate listing and advertising website, with 45 per cent of the market. Established in 1995 and floated in 1999, the company has experienced significant growth and now has more than 3,200 agents and developers using its site.

According to Red Sheriff, an independent internet auditor of online traffic, realestate.com.au had more than 2.7 million visits and delivered more than 60 million pages impressions in July 2003.

In addition to advertising, realestate.com.au provides a full suite of internet services to real estate agents and developers, including web design, hosting and search engine optimisation.

Prior to implementing its NetApp system with one terabyte of capacity, realestate.com.au relied on directly connected storage.

Berkeley Wilson, IT Operations Manager at realestate.com.au, said, "We had reached the point where a consolidated approach in managing our fast growing storage requirements necessitated implementing a class leading solution, such as Network Appliance's offering."

After evaluating several alternatives, Mr. Wilson said, "We were satisfied that the NetApp system would ensure our services are available at all times and have the capacity to grow, while reducing storage and data management costs."

He added, "In our FreeBSD UNIX, MySQL environment, it was the NetApp and SecureData Group combination which stood out as the best fit for us.. Our decision was based upon the ability of the NetApp unit performance and support structures, plus SDG's understanding of our needs, technical support and ability to provide us with a total storage solution."

Simon Green, Managing Director for Network Appliance Australia and New Zealand, said, "We are delighted to have partnered with SecureData and have been chosen by realestate.com.au to help drive its successful web site. By the very nature of what the site offers, visitors to it are serious about what they are doing and the capacity and power of NetApp storage make an important contribution to quality service levels for them."
