Deakin University and Samsung have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which will see the parties collaborate through a series of joint research and development (R&D) projects.
As part of the agreement, Samsung will provide access to products, solutions and technical resources which will be used by the University for studies, solutions developments, and research.
According to Deakin University vice-chancellor, Professor Jane den Hollander, the Samsung contract is part of the institute's commitment to connect with communities.
“Deakin is committed to remain globally connected to its people anywhere in the world and we understand that to do that we need to be able to respond to the constantly-changing technological environment that is driving innovation and development right across the globe,” den Hollander said.
She added that working with Samsung demonstrates the University’s effort to bridge the digital divide by using technology to stay connected.
More to come.
