Brocade picks up Amidata as Melbourne reseller

Amidata joins at Premier Status to further extend Brocade’s regional networking footprint

Brocade has partnered with Melbourne-based IT solutions firm Amidata to resell its solutions, as the new member of its Alliance Partner Network.

Amidata, which focuses on hosting, managed services, procurement and professional consultancy, joins at Premier Status, and will further extend Brocade’s networking footprint across the region.

Amidata provides network infrastructure based expertise spanning all aspects of the data network environment, including new builds, expansions, upgrades and refurbishment of existing designs and technologies.

Brocade country manager, Greig Guy, said the team at Amidata were in alignment with Brocade’s own goals for providing flexible, agile and affordable solutions and services.

"They have great insight into their target market, and we are confident that positive outcomes will result for both Brocade and Amidata,” he said.

The Brocade APN Program rewards partners who invest in developing knowledge-rich practices to address new technology trends.

Amidata managing director, Michael Whelan, said Amidata had identified Brocade solutions as truly compelling for the data centre and enterprise marketplace in Australia.

"Those organisations need to evolve from legacy to efficiency outcomes, and the Brocade solutions and services are ideal from a performance and preparation perspective," he said.

"These businesses need to prepare for the workloads of tomorrow in a cost-effective way and, for us, Brocade is a great offering."
