Data#3 has inked $1.9 million deal to provide new servers for the Department of Defence.
The deal to replace older servers and to supply support for the new ones is a timely boost for the Australian reseller after it indicated it would not achieve the "aggressive target" forecasted in it February results statement.
Data#3 reported revenues of $771 million in FY13 and $399 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
The contract to supply servers and support, which started on April 23, is scheduled to finish on May 30.
In a May update, the board indicated that, while activity levels still remained high and the pipeline of opportunity continued to build, it was not sufficiently strong to allow the company to achieve targets forecasted in its February results statement.
"Forecasts are significantly dependent on trading toward the end of the period, with a range of potential outcomes, and as a result the board indicated there is not enough certainty at this time to provide further guidance," the statement said.
