Cloud software and support specialist, Artis Group, has appointed a new independent director as part of its expansion strategy in "well-defined technology areas".
The Australian-based company has welcomed Kevin Brooks to its board in a bid to create a new geographic perspective to the board, according to a company statement.
Brooks said by focusing the company's capabilities around innovative software development, deployment on Cloud, on-premise or hybrid, plus support capability, Artis Group joins other successful software companies around the world in specialising in well-defined technology areas.
The announcement follows a period of geographic growth for Artis as it further establishes itself across NSW, Victoria and ACT.
According to a company statement, this strategy has led to consistent 20 per cent revenue growth across the business.
It has also joined Microsoft’s ‘Business Critical SharePoint Program’, which is a Microsoft Consulting Services provider with its list of gold competencies, and the Amazon Web Services Systems Integrator Accelerator program.
Chairman, Roger Davies, said the company was committed to fostering long term growth and that it had the resources and leadership in place nationally to achieve this goal.
"We also believe that Artis Group will benefit from having access to Kevin Brooks' expertise and are excited about this new relationship," he said.
"Given his experience and deep knowledge of software, the applications market, and Cloud computing, I believe that Mr Brooks will be an extremely valuable resource to the company."Read more: Private Cloud appeal lies in cost, governance: UXC
