Bulletproof makes three key hires in Melbourne expansion

Launches expansion strategy and opens new Melbourne office

Cloud provider, Bulletproof, has ramped up its expansion efforts with the opening of a Melbourne office and three new appointments.

The new expansion strategy follows the company's listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in February.

Chief Customer Officer, Mark Randall, today announced the opening of a new Melbourne office, as well as three key hires; Shane Cox and Aleks Tasevski, who will take on senior roles in regional and international business development, and Lee-Sia Kay as Bulletproof’s marketing manager.

Randall said it had been a big year for Bulletproof.

"We listed on the ASX, climbed the ranks of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and recently announced a strategic partnership with Sitecore,” he said.

“We are now focusing on bolstering our team, expanding our reach with a new Melbourne office to complement our existing presence in Sydney and Brisbane, and filling it with talented local tech and sales teams."

The new Collins Street office will serve as a hub for the company's southern operation and as a regional support centre.

Tasevski will heading up business development in the southern region – Victoria and South Australia – and brings over 14 years of business and technical experience to the business.

According to a company statement, the initial focus will be building a sales and technical team in Melbourne, to provide technical and commercial support to customers and partners based in the region.

Current Bulletproof clients in the region include Tourism Victoria and Bluescope Steel. Local partners include IE Agency and Isobar.

Kay joins Bulletproof from her previous role as marketing manager with Elcom, a global provider of enterprise web content management and technology solutions.

Kay said she had always admired Bulletproof’s commitment to its customers, and its innovative approach to Cloud services.

"With pioneering initiatives such as the AWS pay-on-demand support service, it’s easy to see how Bulletproof has become Australia's premier mission critical Cloud service provider,” she said.

Mr Randall said the Bulletproof brand had been strengthened by becoming the first and only AWS Premier Partner in Australia.

“We have worked hard to build a strong presence in Australia through our Sydney office and this further expansion into Melbourne is a reflection of our ability to deliver exceptional service to our ever growing client portfolio of some of Australia’s leading brands like Aldi, Quiksilver, and Universal Music Australia.”
