Australian ICT and Cloud consulting firm Tecala has appointed Scott O’Hara as general manager of sales and marketing as the company targets more than 50 per cent growth in 2014.
O’Hara will now be responsible for managing the group’s brand awareness, supporting vendor partner and alliance marketing, and working closely with the company’s sales teams across the country to deliver continued growth.
O’Hara joined Tecala last year as General Manager for Cloud and Managed Services. In this role, he propelled and supported the delivery of Tecala’s new range of cloud services through the launch of new data centre locations and office launches in Darwin, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
This year, Tecala Group is targeting more than 50 per cent revenue growth and is signing on more than 20 customers each month, according to a company statement.
The company is also aiming to establish infrastructure nodes in each state capital city as part of a strategy designed to support client demand for high performance, secure cloud solutions.
Tecala Group managing director, Pieter DeGunst, said O’Hara’s expertise would help drive success across the company’s Cloud and infrastructure offerings.
“He has a proven track record in sales and business development within managed services and will be a real asset to the company as we continue to drive innovation for our clients in support of their digital business transformation strategies,” he said.
O’Hara has previously held senior management and business development roles at companies such as Data#3, Dimension Data, First Focus and Triforce.
