Network management firm Emulex has named former CA Technologies executive Chris Gibbs vice president of sales in Asia Pacific and Japan.
According to a company statement, Gibbs will focus on expanding the Endace Network Visibility products field and developing partner relationships for the Company’s network visibility products and services in the rapidly growing Asia Pacific region.
Emulex senior vice president and general manger, Endace division, Mike Riley, said Gibbs’ experience would enable the firm to capitalise on growing opportunities in the growing network visibility segment of the Asia Pacific region.
Gibbs said he was looking forward to growing the company’s presence across Asia Pacific and Japan.
“I am confident that the Asia Pacific region will be one of our fastest growing geographies and will represent a sizeable part of our NVP portfolio in the very near future,” he said.
Most recently, Gibbs served as the vice president of global accounts for Global Communications Service Providers (CSPs) in Asia Pacific and Japan at CA Technologies.
Prior to that, Gibbs was the chief executive of Torokina Networks. Throughout his career, Gibbs has worked technology companies, including Concord Communications, IBM, Rational Software and Telstra.
