Lexmark passes onto customers the benefits gained from the strengthening Australian dollar

SYDNEY, 4 November 2003 – In response to the current strength of the Australian dollar, Lexmark today announced an immediate price reduction on the majority of its inkjet and laser printer cartridges.

Following on from similar price actions in June this year, Lexmark has experienced further cost savings as a result of the current exchange rate. These savings are being passed directly onto customers, making Lexmark printers more cost effective.

Savings of up to 16 per cent on cartridges lowers the total cost of ownership for Lexmark printers, confirming Lexmark’s dedication to delivering the best printing solutions at competitive prices.

“It is Lexmark’s policy to pass cost savings onto customers wherever possible,” said Henrik Stensfeldt, Managing Director, Lexmark, Australia and New Zealand. “Some of Lexmark’s printers are now up to 20 percent cheaper to print with, because unlike many competitors, we’ve passed on these savings.”
