NetComm has announced the appointment of veteran technology industry sales executive, Mark Jones, as the company’s director of sales and marketing.
Formerly the Pacific general manager for consumer communications division of Philips, Jones will work with the executive team on strategies for positioning Netcomm to exploit opportunities in the fast growing broadband market.
Jones’ appointment coincides with a very successful year for NetComm in which the company posted a 400 per cent jump in full-year net profit to $1.12 million, bolstered by several significant contracts for the supply of ADSL equipment to ISPs.
“Broadband and the many current and potential applications for it are the main focus for NetComm moving forward,” Jones said.
“My main goal will be to aggressively grow this part of the business in conjunction with the company’s key markets of networking, VoIP, IP cameras, wireless and remote access”.
Jones brings more than 11 years of experience in the Australian market to the role.
