Mobile financial solutions proivder eServGlobal has inked a deal with BDCOM Online to explore a joint venture which would provide a mobile payment system to the burgeoning Bangladesh market.
The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to examine the possibility of entering into a joint venture for the purpose of providing a platform for mobile financial services across Bangladesh.

“BDCOM is an innovative company and we are pleased to be working with them to introduce services which have the potential to significantly improve the lives of people across the country,” he said.
BDCOM Online chairman, Wahidul Haque Siddiqui, said there had been a strong uptake of mobile financial services in Bangladesh.
“I am pleased to initiate a clear discussion with eServGlobal to look not only at the possibility of a collaborative model to introduce the next level of mobile financial services in Bangladesh,” he said.
BDCOM managing director, Golam Faruk Alamgir, said the number of mobile financial services subscribers in Bangladesh had already cross 13 million since it was launched in 2011.
“BDCOM has been scouting for a potential technology partner with mature features and a rich, resilient platform,” he said.
