Customer relationship management (CRM) company, SugarCRM, has appointed Wayne Goss as Asia-Pacific (APAC) regional sales director following a 28 per cent year-over-year (YoY) sales growth in the 2013 fiscal year.
Within the newly-created position, Goss will be responsible for increasing SugarCRM’s market share, exploring sales opportunities with high-profile brands, and supporting channel partners across the region.
He will also pursue expansion in the small to mid-tier enterprise space.
He joins SugarCRM with 15 years of enterprise IT management experience. He most recently worked for IBM as its national competitive, strategy and engagement leader.
According to SugarCRM CEO, Larry Augustin, APAC is one of the company’s fastest growing regions, having signed almost 90 new customers over the past 12 months. New Zealand, China and Japan experienced the strongest growth with more than 55, 65, and 52 per cent increases, respectively.
On February 5, SugarCRM announced it achieved 17 quarters of consecutive revenue growth globally. It achieved a 75 per cent YoY revenue growth in the 2013 financial year, triggered predominately by the completion of a $US40 million equity investment by Goldman Sachs in August 2013, and a new release of SugarCRM in November 2013.
