Huawei partners R-Group in WA coup

R-Group will offer networking solutions from Huawei’s enterprise product line

Telecommunications giant, Huawei, has partnered with R-Group to provide networking solutions across Western Australia.

R-Group will offer complete networking solutions from Huawei’s enterprise product line including switching, routing, IP telephony, wireless LAN, storage and servers.

R-Group’s Managing Director, Josh Newton, said Huawei had been on his company’s radar since it participated in the iAwards in Melbourne in 2012.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Huawei to introduce their outstanding technology further to Australian business,” he said.

Huawei Enterprise was established in Australia in 2012, and has picked up a number of high-profile customers.

It already supplies switching, routing, IP telephony, and video conferencing technology to the NSW Ambulance service; telepresence technology to Australia’s Academic and Research Network (AARNet), and routing technology to Powerlink.

Huawei enterprise director, Daniel Lin, said Huawei had shaken up the market since its arrival in Australia.

“We’re looking forward to bringing our innovation to Western Australia in partnership with R-Group,” he said.

“With this collaboration, R-Group customers and partners across its private and public sectors will benefit from Huawei’s innovative and cost effective product suite.”

Newton said Huawei products offered a genuine alternative for customers looking for an enterprise quality product with a much more affordable price tag.

“In the current economic climate, so many Australian companies are looking to get better results without increasing expenditure,” he said.

“Huawei’s product suite represents a great opportunity to address that need.”

“We look forward to bringing the latest technologies to customers throughout the region.”
