Managed services provider, Logicalis, has unleashed its new backup-as-a-service (BaaS), in two versions to target corporate and enterprise markets.
The service aims to remove complexity and cost of managing backup by running a proactive, structured backup portfolio supported by penalty-based service level agreements (SLAs).
Logicalis' BaaS portfolio offers both on-premise infrastructure with off-site cloud replication or a pure cloud-only solution all backed by 24x7 management.
Periodic restoration testing ensures backups have been completely successful and pricing is simple according to the volume of data being backed up and SLAs required.
“It's time to call time on backup blind spots as you just can't put a price on the content contained within your organisation," Logicalis managed services director, Daniel Sultana, said.
"In an information-based or service business, except for employees, company information and documentation are arguably the most important part of your business and if you don't know where they are in need of emergency, it's costing you money and reputation.”
BaaS Corporate is designed for small to mid-sized datasets with backup SLAs based on backup availability and success.
BaaS Enterprise is designed for larger datasets including those with a high rate-of-change, with backup SLAs focused on restoration.
