CSC inks cloud deal with Fred Hollows Foundation

It will provide its BizCloud Virtual Private Enterprise platform

CSC has inked a new cloud computing services contract with Australian-based non-profit international development organisation, the Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF).

The value of the deal hasn’t been disclosed.

CSC will provide its BizCloud Virtual Private Enterprise (VPE) platform. Contracted services include application migration and on-boarding services as well as security migration, installation and support.

It will bring FHF’s global offices onto a common communications technology platform.

“The Fred Hollows Foundation was clear about how they believed information technology services could better support their business activities in Asia, Africa and Australia,” CSC director of cloud computing for Australia and Asia, Paul Gibbs, said.

FHF director of business operations, Ram Neupane, said its decision to side with CSC was based on its ability to provide end-to-end services including enabling, migrating and managing its existing applications.

“Most importantly, FHF offices around the world will benefit from CSC’s global cloud footprint, including regional data centres and service desk operations,” Neupane said.
