Adobe’s A/NZ head of channel, Steve Martin, has left the vendor just under two years in the role.
Martin joined Adobe in February 2012, after spending more than six years with security vendor, Symantec.
Former Adobe distribution channel manager, Muralee Kanagaratnam, will step into Martin’s position.
Kanagaratnam has been in the distribution role since April and previously spent seven years at distributor Express Data, covering roles such as NSW sales branch manager and as its national vendor alliances manager for software.
“I’d like to thank Steve for his fantastic contribution to Adobe and wish him every success in the future,” Adobe head of channel sales Asia Pacific, Peter McAlpine, said.
“Under Steve’s leadership, the A/NZ region led the world in the adoption of Creative Cloud [CC] for teams. In Q3 [August 30, 2013], 69 per cent of customers in A/NZ chose to purchase CC for teams over our perpetual offerings while worldwide, the average was 46 per cent.
“In 2014 we look forward to working with our channel partners and continuing our momentum with CC for teams, Acrobat and Education.”
Martin said he enjoyed his time at Adobe and it was a very whirlwind year moving customers from a perpetual model to a cloud subscription model.
"A/NZ did that better than any other country in the Adobe world and I'm hugely proud of my team and the Australian channel for taking on the transformational change."
Martin said he was looking forward to having about a month on the beach.
"I wish the Adobe team well and I look forward to signing up with the next opportunity that comes my way," he said.
