Panasonic Toughbook group manager, Marc Amelung said Avnet offered the professional skillset needed to support dealer's sales objectives and guarantee customer satisfaction.
“The rugged Toughbook brand has proven to have great potential in Australia, with an expanding range of mobile solutions, such as tablets and ultrabooks, which are both attracting customers in new markets, as well as long-standing customers who regularly extend and refresh their Toughbook fleet with our latest technologies,” he said.
Earlier this year, Panasonic launched two new products in the Toughbook range: the FZ-G1 Toughpad, which runs on the Windows 8 operating system while providing essential port connectivity in a compact and robust package.
It also launched the JT-B1 Toughpad, a fully-rugged, lightweight 7-inch Android tablet that combines data and device security with seamless connectivity and enterprise-minded technology.
According to Panasonic, it has seen strong uptake of both products, as well as increasing penetration of Toughbooks across the entire rugged market in Australia.
Avnet Technology Solutions, general manager A/NZ, Darren Adams, said it saw strong opportunities to further increase the penetration of ToughBook products in Australia, including with resellers in markets where there is a strong need for a robust, mobile offering such as medical, resources and mining, and point of sale.
