Bulletproof launches pay-as-you-go managed AWS support

Called Managed AWS On Demand users will only pay for what they use rather than a fixed monthly cost.

Mission critical Cloud provider, Bulletproof, has launched Australia’s first pay-as-you-go support service for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Called Managed AWS On Demand, it includes Bulletproof’s 24x7 support, and users will only pay for what they use rather than a fixed monthly cost.

It can be used for both short and long term projects for website and critical campaign hosting, eCommerce and application hosting.

“Australian companies are flocking to use cloud services for everything from eCommerce to web and application hosting and critical marketing campaigns,” Bulletproof chief customer officer, Mark Randall, said.

“However, companies who want support have traditionally needed to sign long term contracts, incur fixed monthly fees, or rely on internal capability. With AWS releasing 150 new products and features annually, many organisations are struggling to keep up.”

With no ongoing monthly charge on top of a customers’ existing AWS bill, Randall said the On Demand support model changes the way managed services can be accessed.

“Bulletproof’s new pay-as-you-go model allows companies to gain scalable support to ensure the success of cloud-hosted campaigns. It’s an Australian solution for Australian companies and will bring managed services in line with the cloud-based consumption model,” Randall said. Existing AWS customer and eRetailer, Madison Technologies, has been trialing On Demand for the past month.

Madison’s eCommerce manager, Jase Clamp, said while it does have in-house capabilities to manage its eCommerce platform daily, it required some additional technical help.

“Being able to dip in and out of Bulletproof’s On Demand support provides us with a flexible, scalable and cost effective model,” Clamp said.
