National Warranty Service will now offer a worldwide warranty service to resellers and their customers.
The country’s third largest third-party warranty service will now be available to all future and existing warranties with no increase in price for the service extension.
NWS general manager Don Card said his was the only third-party warranty company in Australia to offer the comprehensive service.
“For customers: warranty service overseas will work much the same as it does here in Australia,” Card said.
“The main difference will be that they can’t use our AU 1300 number, and will call the underlying direct line, although NZ calls have had a dedicated NWS 0800 number for a considerable time.”
Card said the service would provide, in most cases, local service in the country where the faulty product is located. But the jobs will still be created, managed and tracked in Australia.
“Regarding the world-wide service’s response speed: in Australia, NWS don’t do ‘slow’ responses, only ‘fast’ or ‘faster’, and this world-wide local service will also be, as far as possible, given local circumstances and environment, our standard high priority same day service,” he said.
“NWS worldwide service just continues and extends the NWS tradition of almost 10 years of constant warranty, and warranty service, improvement and innovation - simply giving our eesellers and their customers the very best service we possibly can.”
