CA Technologies and First Point Global partner on security

Technology vendor partners with systems integrator to expand local reach

Comments

CA Technologies has entered into a partnership with identity and access management (IAM) consultancy and systems integrator, First Point Global.

The deal is aimed at expanding the reach and access of both companies in A/NZ through a focus on specialist security solutions and expertise.

CA Technologies A/NZ partners senior director, Carl Terrantroy, said the partnership comes as the security market continues to grow for the vendor both in A/NZ and globally.

“It is an indication of the strength of CA Technologies IT security portfolio that we can attract partners like First Point Global,” he said.

Terrantroy identifies CA Technologies’ expertise with complex identity and access management deployments as a strength, as well as experience with assisting customers in migrating security to mobile and Cloud based model from an internal one.

Existing relationship

First Point Global has already worked with CA Technologies following the acquisition of Layer 7 Technologies by the vendor in June.

With Layer 7 Technologies, First Point Global held the role of reseller for the Application Programming Interface (API) security and management provider, an arrangement that Terrantroy said will continue.

With the announcement of the security partnership, First Point Global has been named an advanced partner within the CA Global Partner Program, with plans to expand the existing A/NZ relationship into Asia Pacific.

“We are already working together on a number of important client opportunities that combine First Point Global’s role as trusted advisor and solution provider in Australia with CA Technologies’ technology leadership,” he said.
