Mobile security vendor gets highest certification under the Common Criteria program

Good Technology has achieved Evaluation Assurance Level 4 Augmented (EAL4+) certification for its Good for Enterprise mobile collaboration solution.

This certification is the highest level under the Common Criteria program, which measures the security of products used in environments handling sensitive government data.

Good Technology chief technology officer, Dr. Nicko van Someren, said the internationally recognised certification provides assurance for customers that Good for Enterprise comes with the highest level of protection.

“EAL4+ is considered a gold standard for government grade security, so this certification confirms that Good's secure mobility solution is not only world-class, but industry-leading,” he said.

Someren adds that Good for Enterprise is the only cross-platform mobile collaboration solution to achieve the EAL4+ certification.

“It is also the only solution to meet this level of certification on either iOS or Android,” he said.

Good for Enterprise makes use of an application containerisation model to ensure email, calendar information, contact details, document data and browser access is secure.

"We have a long heritage of innovation around mobile and security, with more certifications and accreditations in this space than all other MDM [mobile device management] vendors,” Someren said.
