In what could be an Australian first, Telstra is running an interactive small business educational program over the Internet using Webcasting technology starting on September 22.
The program features six seminars run over 12 weeks ending on December 1 which discuss issues such as the GST, Y2K, networking, and self-management.
The seminars target small business operators who work from home whom Telstra has identified as being short of time but highly technically aware.
Executives from the carrier explained yesterday the program is designed to provide small business with access to an educational program that suits their needs so it will Webcast the hour-long seminars twice a day at 1pm AEST and 7.30pm AEST.
After each seminar, site visitors can chat to the speakers in the online chat rooms. For those who are not online they can register with the 1800 Conferlink service.
