Integrated healthcare provider, Healthscope, has signed a contract with Cloud-based workforce management solutions provider, Kronos, to deploy the vendor’s suite of workforce management tools.
Healthscope will implement Kronos for Healthcare across two initial secure sites with the potential of a full roll out to all 41 of its Australian hospital sites.
According to a statement, the solution will be used to enable operational efficiency, allowing Healthscope to focus more on delivering patient care.
In addition, the Kronos automated time and attendance solution will see Healthscope cut out its 15,000 labour-intensive timesheets so data entry and approval processing are streamlined, reducing administration time associated with attendance monitoring and employee inquiries.
Healthscope selected Kronos for Healthcare as it wanted to realise its “vision of bringing more automation and self-service capabilities to its staff.”
“Kronos will give us a holistic view of our workforce across all of our hospital sites in Australia in real-time,” Kronos executive chairman, Robert Cooke, said. “This a fantastic leap forward in productivity for us.”
“Our employees will have the autonomy to enter their availability and submit leave. For management, this means we also have on-the-go workforce insights to help us accurately align labour with anticipated patient demand, while allowing our staff to take control of their own work life balance.”
