Lotus plans to make its new knowledge management suite, code-named Raven, available to its reseller partners in Q2 next year, the vendor announced yesterday.
Lotus' marketing director for Australia and New Zealand, Mark McConnell, said: "Raven is the first attempt [by Lotus] to build a suite and a set of tools that allow us to deliver knowledge management to our partners. Raven will give them the tool to offer clients a knowledge management solution more cost effectively."
Lotus revealed Raven possesses tools for content tracking and analysis, user profiling and expertise location, a knowledge portal, which the vendor claims manages personal and community information, and an application integration toolkit.
McConnell said the suite was demonstrated at a conference in Berlin last month and won't ship until mid next year.
He confirmed that Raven would be available through Lotus' distributors and, while he could not confirm exact pricing, he explained Lotus will move to adopt per-user pricing.
