The five winners of the McAfee 2012 A/NZ Channel Partner of the Year Awards were announced at the company's annual Partner Advisory Council event in Sydney.

The awards recognise partners that have made a contribution to the development and growth of McAfee technologies and its local business in the past year.

Criteria used to select the winners including performance, results and partnerships that showed consistent growth.

McAfee channels and alliances senior director, Craig Nielsen, said each of the five winners in the individual categories demonstrated growth in year-on-year sales, new business activity, and volume of deal registrations, as well as a commitment to the vendor’s training and certifications.

“We are incredibly proud of our partner program and I congratulate all our winners of this prestigious award,” he said.

Manage Protect Pty Ltd was named SMB Partner of the Year, while Data #3 Ltd was Commercial Partner of the Year.

Top Growth Partner of the Year accolade was won by Ipsec Pty Ltd, and Dimension Data Australia Pty Ltd was selected as Overall Partner of the Year.

Ingram Micro Australia Pty Ltd took out the Distributor of the Year title.

Opportunity to share

Hosted in conjunction with the company’s annual Partner Advisory Council event, Nielsen said the Awards also provide channel partners with an opportunity to share feedback, discussions, strategies and insights on the security industry.

“We are committed to making the strategic investments that drive partner innovation, differentiation and profitability,” he said.

“We drive our partner’s growth through training, incentives and demand generation, and will continue to optimise the resources that enable partners to become that coveted trusted security advisor for our mutual customers.”
