US-based data security vendor, Vormetric, has selected Computerlinks Australia to distribute its entire range of data-centric security solutions to resellers across Australia.
Vormetric worldwide channel sales vice-president, Mike Coffield, said the agreement highlights the company’s continued commitment to the region as a growth market.
Coffield said he plans to satisfy the growing demand for products that enable organisations to meet compliance requirements, protect themselves from data breach incidents and prevent the loss of critical Internet protocol.
"As more organisations in Australia begin to migrate sensitive data to the Cloud, protecting data at the source becomes increasingly important. This is why we choose partners, like Computerlinks, that focus exclusively on IT-security; it makes the best business sense for both companies,” he said.
Coffield also mentioned that Computerlinks’ data security expertise, extensive reseller channel network, on-the-ground resources across the region, and robust enterprise customer relationships were key reasons behind the deal.
Computerlinks general manager, Scott Warren, said it will help Vormetric increase its channel footprint and add significant momentum to its sales, service, and support capabilities to accelerate penetration and increase its market share.
Warren claimed that it will be focusing on the enterprise and government space with the Vormetric product range.
“Many enterprises and government agencies in Australia are required to protect an increasing amount of data, be it for regulatory compliance requirements or to prevent intellectual property breaches.
“Until now, using encryption to secure large datasets has been hindered by performance overhead and scalability constraints and Vormetric addresses all these issues head on” he said.
