DiUS takes electric car charger tech to US

The Aussie tech company has landed a distie agreement with Global Network Resources

Australian technology company, DiUS Computing, has developed a grid friendly electric vehicle charger, ChargeIQ, and secured a partnership with Silicon Valley distributor, Global Network Resources.

This will place DiUS among major players within the worldwide electric vehicle charging industry, which is estimated to be worth about $3.8 billion by 2020.

ChargeIQ, a Smart Grid friendly electric vehicle charging solution which took three years to develop and will make its debut in the North American market by the end of 2013. It features a web interface and smartphone application, enabling utilities and consumers to cooperate in real-time to shift electricity demand.

DiUS established a partnership through its commercialisation subsidiary, Percepscion with Global Network Resources.

“Electric cars are taking off in California and we see huge potential for this innovative product here and elsewhere around the world,” Global Network Resources president and founder, Kurt Miyatake, said.
