The winners of the fourth Young ICT Explorers school competition, held recently at The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane, have been selected.

Run by SAP Australia together with the university, 198 students across Queensland came together once again to compete for the title of best Young ICT Explorer.

A panel of industry judges evaluated the work of 17 teams of students across year 4 to 12, while the awards were presented by the Honorary Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts, Ian Walker.

The winning teams on the day were St Columba’s Primary School, AB Paterson College, St Aidans Anglican Girls School, Ironside State School, Good News Lutheran School, Brisbane State High School, Mansfield State High School, Helensvale State High School, Coffs Harbour High School, Brisbane Girls Grammar School, and QASMT.

The not-for-profit event is run by SAP and UQ to encourage innovation and interest for technology amongst school students to overcome the ICT skills gap in Australia.
