IT service management forum Australia (itSMF) has named the winners of its seventh annual industry awards during a gala dinner.
The ceremony was held during the LEADit 2013 Annual National Conference and Expo, at Canberra’s Parliament House.
Global chemical solutions giant, Orica, won the Telstra ITSM Project of the Year award, for its globalisation of IT service delivery project which represented a large transformational change and technology implementation project undertaken to deliver operational excellence globally, improve IT performance and deliver value-add through IT.
The judges couldn’t split the City of Boroondara and Champions Educational Gaming in the Kinetic IT Innovation of the Year category, with both submissions showing how game-based incentive schemes can deliver improved productivity and job satisfaction results for ITSM and service desk teams.
University of WA nabbed the HDAA Service Desk Team Project of the Year award following a program of consolidation and transformation of IT infrastructure and services, aimed at improving the standard of UWA’s Information Technology service provision to staff and students.
Sandra Hinchcliff from NSW was announced the winner of the National White Paper competition while Canberra’s Bill O’Donnell was announced as the industry’s Service Management Champion.
Recognition for 15 years of itSMF Australia membership was also given to Monash University, UXC Consulting and Proactive Services.
