China, Vietnam, plasmas, cameras and more!

SYDNEY, Australia, 13 December 2004 – Christmas wishes came early for 40 channel sales representatives today with Hewlett-Packard (HP) announcing the highest point earners for 2004 as part of the HP Channel Rewards Program.

“The HP Channel Rewards Program recognises and rewards our valued channel partners for their support and sales throughout the year, and provides individual sales representatives with the opportunity to earn fantastic prizes,” said Paul Robson, Manager, Channels Programs and Development, Solutions Partner Organisation, HP Australia.

“HP is totally committed to the success of its channel strategy by fostering long-term partnerships that are mutually profitable.”

Points varied depending on the type of products or services sold, and provided the opportunity for all participants to redeem their points for a variety of rewards, including homewares, BBQ sets, plasma screen TVs and digital cameras.

The highlight of this year’s program was the Platinum and Gold earners, the 40 highest point earners who are each being rewarded with an overseas trip of a lifetime.

This year’s 20 highest point earners, the Platinum Winners, will get to explore the ancient world and wonders of China with a seven-day, all expenses paid business class trip for two, while the next 20 representatives, the Gold Winners, will have the opportunity to visit Vietnam, a country of rare beauty and traditional charm.

As an added bonus, HP will also be giving the 20 Platinum Winners a portable HP Photosmart 325 printer, which prints true to life 4x6” photos and weighs just 1.3 kg. One extra lucky winner will also receive a HP Photosmart digital camera.

“I’m thrilled to see the continuous support from our channel partners and am looking forward to personally congratulating the 2004 winners. The 2005 program will commence early next year and we are expecting even more participants, more points being accrued and more exciting prizes and destinations being rewarded,” said Robson.

The HP Channel Rewards Program has been running for over ten years, in 2004 more than 600 participants entered. For further information about the HP Channel Rewards Program, or to register for the 2005 program please visit HP’s Partnership Online website http://www.hp.com.au/pol
