Computer technology vendor, Dell, has made available a new online partner tool that enables its A/NZ partners to create multipart, customised enterprise solutions for their customers.
The Online Solutions Configurator (OSC) tool is an enhancement to PartnerDirect, where registered partners get access to training and support, logo usage and login details for Dell’s Web-based partner portal including product information, ordering and technical support facilities.
The OSC provides pre-configured solutions and training videos, as well as the option to create customised solutions to meet specific customer needs.
It also has dedicated sales support for the full range of Dell’s Enterprise Solutions including its storage, servers, networking and converged infrastructure offerings, and integrates with its deal registration system.
Dell Asia-Pacific and Japan global commercial channel vice-president, Richard Lee, said the new OSC tool helps partners close deals quickly in an easy, collaborative and intuitive way.
“One of the key advantages for partners will be the availability of an efficient and collaborative sales tool to make it easier to configure Dell’s enterprise solutions. We are excited to add the OSC to our current suite of resources and look forward to positive business outcomes for our channel partners as they grow their business with Dell,” he said.
The OSC tool was initially tested as a pilot version across some of Dell’s partners in Australia and New Zealand and created based on direct feedback it received from them.
Feedback included a reduction in time taken to build preferred solutions, product category pre-selection for respective local markets, and the tool’s ability to provide insights into the range of solutions offered by Dell.
