US-based software vendor Peregrine Systems is looking for reseller partners to help bolster its position as a provider of infrastructure management products and services to mid-tier organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
Lee Loncasty, Peregrine's managing director for Australia/NZ, announced the vendor's channel strategy at a media briefing yesterday.
Peregrine has already signed up six partners and is looking for more resellers to take its infrastructure management products, B2B solutions and associated services to market.
The vendor is looking for both solutions partners and technology partners that are prepared to spend $US25,000 to train a minimum of two salespeople and two pre-sales support staff who will specialise in selling the Peregrine Remedy products.
Peregrine is particularly looking to sign service providers and solutions providers that focus on the finance and telco sectors, said Nickie Zammit, of Peregrine's channel business support division.
Peregrine's key focus is to expand its reseller network as well as develop strong partnerships with channel players such as IBM Global Services, KPMG and Fujitsu, according to a company statement.
As the cost of maintaining a workspace soars, as infrastructure becomes more complex for highly mobile organisations and as "e-everything" remains the standard, there are enormous opportunities emerging for providers of infrastructure management solutions, Loncasty said. The channel will play an integral role in delivering these solutions to market, she added.
"I'd like to see 90 per cent [of Peregrine's sales] going through the channel in one way or another. We are totally committed to supporting our resellers, systems integrators and ISVs because they will be a critical part of our success."
