Sydney-based distributor Anyware Computer Accessories has opened a 450sqm warehouse and office site in Brisbane to strengthen its presence in Queensland. Adding to the opening of its Adelaide branch a couple of months ago, Anyware can also be found in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Michael Fox, Anyware state manager for Queensland, has only been with the company for three months but has been involved with a number of computer wholesalers in the state.
"We already do a lot in North Queensland from our Sydney office but Brisbane clients will go to local sources for their requirements, so we want to attack the local market," he said. "I have a good understanding of that market and know who the major resellers and competitors are."
Anyware deals in everything from keyboards and mice to system cooling fans and digital cameras. It has exclusive arrangements with Aten, Just Cooler, Lian Li, Ortek, Sitecom and Thermaltake.
Managing director Garrison Huang expects the new Brisbane site to provide strong growth in the region by improving turnaround times and lines of communication.
